  1. In a large Kettle over Medium Heat; melt butter or oil, add mushrooms.

  2. Add the meat, brown it.

  3. Add the onions, continue to brown.

  4. Add celery reduce heat to medium low.

  5. Add the potatoes, mixed vegetables, chicken broth, bay leaves, savory, garlic, salt and pepper.

  6. Simmer for an hour or two, stirring occasionally.


This recipe will likely evolve as I try it out again and again, as currently it is basically a slightly modified copy of a generic recipe I found, which I will use to customize to my tastes.
